  1. Hey, really like the deck. A few questions. Is Niv-mizzet Dracogenius a straight up grade to firemind in this deck? Since you can hit for 5 and still draw rather than choose one or the other.
Also, if you had to play some multiplayer Edh with this is their any significant changes you would make?
    Cheers!

      • Artisan is a bit more efficiently costed, keeping him within the possibility of hardcasting him. His ability is definitely an upside, too, in situations that don’t go along Jhoira’s A plan. It That Betrays is just more expensive while its ability could be categorized as just “win more” and doesn’t really matter all that much.

    • Dracogenius is significantly worse than its predecessor. It costs mana to use his ability, and on an empty board state, after a complete board wipe, you don’t have much resources to work with. As for multiplayer, you’d definitely want to refocus the deck a bit. Blatant Thievery and Deep-Sea Kraken come to mind that would qualify as first-class suspend targets in multiplayer, but I’m sure there are many more.

Heed my warning though: players will hate out any Jhoira deck in multiplayer. You should prepare for a massive onslaught from all players at the table beforehand.

      • I guess for dracogenius, i was referring to the fact he can draw when he damages a player in combat. But maybe assuming that he will always get through is not a good idea.

  2. Yeah, I know I’ve played Jhoira quite a bit before and I don’t mind it becoming a 3-1 archenemy game. But if it does become like that, I would like to maximizing my likelyhood of winning.
    Thanks!
